Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2019 Details

Jharkhand is rich in resources and is the 28th state in India. The state was formed in the year 2000 after its separation from Bihar. It is a politically active state and has many national and regional parties. Besides, the political parties, the state has a large number of independent leaders. The state Assembly has 81 assembly and 14 parliamentary constituencies.

The Vidhan Sabha of Jharkhand consists of 81 seats to which the members are directly elected by the general eligible electorate. The fate of the candidates was decided by about two crore voters. The major parties in the state include Indian National Congress (INC), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Jharkhand Vikas Morcha Prajatantrik (JVM).

The Jharkhand State Legislative Assembly elections for 2014 were held in five phases between November 25 and December 20, while the results were announced on 23 December. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerged as the single largest party winning 37 of the 81 assembly seats, falling just five short of the clear majority mark of 42. The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) won 19 seats to come second after BJP.
The then incumbent chief minister Hemant Soren of JMM had contested the elections from Dumka and Barhait assembly constituencies. Soren won in Barhait with 62,515 votes against BJP's Hemlal Murmu who was the runner-up with 38,428 votes. Though, Soren had to taste defeat in Dumka at the hands of BJP's Lois Marandi who won 70,367 votes to the former's 65,105.

Analysis : The raw data from the field is compiled and a detailed research to correlate various factors will be conducted with respect to past election results. A comprehensive analysis will be carried out and focus areas will be shortlisted to be taken up further. This analysis will divide the booths in four groups, i.e., strong booths, weak booths, threatened booths, and opportune booths. A comparison between the strength of the individual vis a vis strength of the parties will also be done. In addition to the above analysis, the data gathered will be managed in software developed by Leadtech. This will enable the client to view the data collected through a user friendly graphical interface and come up with his own analysis and strategies.
