Find below opinion poll 2023 summary for madhya pradesh assembly elections. There is a close contest between congress and BJP. Although BJP is marginally on higher side.
In March 2020, 22 Congress MLAs resigned from the assembly, and defected to Bharatiya Janata Party along with Jyotiraditya Scindia, resulting in the collapse of the state government and resignation by Chief Minister Kamal Nath. Subsequently BJP formed the state government, with Shivraj Singh Chouhan becoming Chief Minister. Most of the defected MLAs got re-elected on BJP symbol in the by-election, thus enabling full majority to BJP government.
