About the Constituency:
The Lalganj Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 68) consists of 1,509,536 number of electorates in totality, of these 810,708 are males and 698,828 are females as the Election commission of India 2009 data suggests. It was formed in 1962 and is reserved for the SC category.

About Lalganj:

It was formed in 1962 and is reserved for the SC category. Lalganj is a nagar panchayat with 50 village panchayats under it in the Raebareli district of UP which is a part of the Lucknow Division. It is located roughly in the center of the state at an average elevation of 142 meters. Hindi is the official language of Lalganj with Awadhi being widely spoken by the locals. Lalganj has a rail coach factory situated in the city that contributes to the economy of the town. Moradabad has a number of notable schools and colleges, both government and private. NH-7 and NH-232 are the National Highways passing through the area.

 

Demography:

According to the census data of 2001, Lalganj has a total population of 21,135 of which 52% are males and 48% are females. It has a sex ratio of 941 females per 1000 males. 13% of the population is below the age of six. The city of Lalganj has an average literacy rate of 72% with male literacy at 78% and female literacy at 65%.

About the Constituency:
Kairana Lok Sabha Constituency is one of Uttar Pradesh's 80 parliamentary constituencies. The Kairana Parliamentary constituency (constituency number 2) has a total of 1,282,551 electorates out of which 577,614 are females and 704,937 are males according to Election Commission of India 2009 reports.

About Kariana:
Previously a tehsil of the Muzaffarnagar, Kairana is now located in the Shamli District under the Saharanpur Division. The city has an average altitude of 240 meters and lies on the border of the state on the banks of the River Yamuna. It is located at a distance of 23 km from Panipat. The infamous Kairana Gharana, a renowned school for Indian Classical Music, is located here. A handful of schools and colleges are also situated here. The Uttar Pradesh State Highway, SH-12 passes through this area connecting it to other cities.

Demographic Pattern:

As per the 2001 India census data, the city has a total population of 73,046 of which males and females comprise of 53% and 47% respectively. With about 22% of the population being under the age of six, the sex ratio here is above 850 females per 1000 males. Muslims have a 70% majority here. The average literacy rate of Kairana is far below the national average at just 29% with male literacy rate of 36% and female literacy rate of just 22%.

Present Political Scenario:

Again the choice was simply clear, Hukum Singh, the sitting MLA and a towering Gujjar leader who was seen as playing a major role in not only keeping the Hindus united but also calming the nerves by talking peace during the Muzaffarnagar riots. This should again give BJP an easy victory here.

It presently comprises of five Vidhan Sabha segments one of which is reserved for the SC category. The administrative headquarters of this district is situated in the city of Greater Noida. Gautam Buddha Nagar covers an area of 1,282 sq. km. and is separated from Delhi and Faridabad District by the river Yamuna. Hindi is the official language of this district. The economy of this district is primarily dependent on the various industries present here. Here, there is a promising number of notable schools and colleges, both government and private. This district has a well-established network of roads with National Expressway 2 passing through the area.

According to the census data of 2011, Gautam Buddha Nagar has a total population of 1,648,115 of which 53% are males and 47% are females. It has a sex ratio of 851 females per 1000 males and 14.96% of the population is below the age of six. The district has an average literacy of 80.12% with male literacy at 88.06% and female literacy at 70.82%.

Present Political Scenario:

BSP won the seat by a narrow margin
BJP had lost Gautam Buddh Nagar narrowly last time by 15 thousand votes.

One of the 80 Lok Sabha Constituencies of Uttar Pradesh, Firozabad Parliamentary Constituency was formed before the 1957 elections. 1,422,243 is the total electorate count in the Firozabad Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 20). Out of these 782,455 number of electorates are males and the remaining 639,788 are belong to the female category as the Election commission of India 2009 reports suggest.

It comprises of five Vidhan Sabha segments one of which is reserved for the SC category. The constituency covers the whole district of Firozabad which covers an area of 2,362 sq km. The district belongs to the Agra Division with its headquarters located in the city of Firozabad. The average elevation is 165 m and it is located to the west of River Yamuna. The area has several Jain temples and is also home to the oldest mosque of the country, Jama Masjid. The National Highway NH-2 links it to an extensive road network.

As per India census data 2011, the district has a population of 2,496,761 with a 52% male majority and 48% of females. It is the 173rd most populated district of the country. Over the decade of 2001-2011, the population growth rate was 21.62% and the population density here is 1,044 inhabitants per sq km. Children constitute 15.30% of the population and the sex ratio here is 875 females per 1000 males. The average literacy rate here is 71.92% with male and female literacy rates at 80.82% and 61.75% respectively.
