About the Constituency:
According to Election Commission of India 2009 data the total electorates in the Deoria Parliamentary constituency (constituency number 66) were 1,580,745 of which 720,522 are females and 860,223 are males.

One of the 80 Lok Sabha constituencies of Uttar Pradesh, the constituency of Deoria was formed prior to the 1952 constituency elections and currently comprises of five Vidhan Sabha segments.

About Deoria:

The city of Deoria is the headquarters of the Deoria District and belongs to the administrative division of Gorakhpur. The total area of the district is 2,535 sq km and it has an elevation of 68 m and is about 50 km away from Gorakhpur. It has a total population of over 3,100,000 of which about 1,537,000 are males and about 1,563,000 are females.There are several schools and colleges located here. It has an extensive network of roads and railways.

 

Demography:

It has a sex ratio of 1017 females per 1000 males and a child population of 464,516. Hindi, Bhojpuri, English and Urdu are the commonly used languages.
The population growth over 2001-2011 has been 14.23%. With an average literacy rate of 71.13%, the district of Deoria has a male literacy rate of 83.27% and a female literacy rate of 59.38%. It is India's 114th most populated district and has a population density of 1,220 people per sq km.

What BJP needs to do?
Lot depends on how much support Kalraj Mishra will get from the local leaders of the BJP, especially the likes of two-time MP Prakashmani Tripathi and Surya Pratap Shahi. If BJP leaders and workers bury their differences (especially along Thakur-Brahmin fault-lines) then this is a sure-shot seat for the party, or else BJP will have to struggle to cross the finish line.

About the Constituency:
One of the 80 constituencies of Uttar Pradesh, the constituency of Bulandshahr covers the district of Bulandshahr. The total number of electorates in the Bulandshahr Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 14) according to Election Commission of India 2009 reports are 1,482,749 of which 810,237 are males and 672,512 are females.

About Bulandshahr :

It is the headquarters of the Bulandshahr District and belongs to the Meerut Division. Located between the rivers of Ganges and Yamuna, the district spreads over an area of 3,719 sq km. It has an elevation of 195 m and is about 77.5 km away from the national capital, New Delhi.

 

Demographic pattern:

The total population of Bulandshahr District is over 3,498,507.
It has a sex ratio of 892 females per 1000 males. Hindi is the official and the most widely spoken language while English and Urdu are prevalent as well. Hindus have a 58% majority here.
With an average literacy rate of 68.88%, Bulandshahr has a male literacy rate of 80.93% and a female literacy rate of 55.57%. It is the 85th most populated district and has a population density of 788 people per sq km. About the Constituency:
Baghpat is one of the 80 Lok Sabha constituencies of Uttar Pradesh, formed before the elections of the year 1967 and comprises of six General Vidhan Sabha segments. According to Election Commission of India 2009 data the total electorates in the Baghpat Parliamentary constituency (constituency number 11) were 1,280,602 of which 556,270 are females and 724,332 are males.

About Baghpat:

The city of Baghpat is the headquarters of the district of Baghpat and is located on the banks of Yamuna River at a distance of 70 kms from Delhi and 52 kms from the city of Meerut. The district of Baghpat covers a total area of over 1,300 sq kms and has an average elevation of 253 metres. Education wise, the city houses the prominent institute of Janta Vedic College known for its courses on agriculture. Agriculture is the primary economic activity here and crops of sugarcane and wheat are cultivated here. The Delhi-Sharanpur Highway passes through this city.

 

Demographic pattern:

As per 2001 census data, Baghpat city had a population of over 36,000 of which 53% comprised of males and 47% of females. The district of Baghpat has a population of over 13,00,000 as per 2011 census data. About 13% of the total population is under the age of six and the sex ratio is 858. With an average literacy rate of 66%, the city has a male literacy rate of 82% and a female literacy of 58%. Culturally, Hindus have a 75% majority while Muslims, Buddhists, Jains and Christians also reside here.

Bansgaon is a town and Nagar Panchayat of Gorakhpur District and has an average elevation. Basic education facilities include several municipal schools and a handful of colleges. Economically, it falls under one of India's 250 most backward districts and receives funds from the Backward Regions Grant Fund Programme. Agriculture is the most common activity of the people here. About Aligarh:

Aligarh city is the centre of administration of the district and the division. The city witnessed The Battle of Aligarh of the Second Anglo-Maratha War. Lying about 290 kms away from Kanpur between Ganges and Yamuna, it sprawls over a total area of over 3,700 sq kms. It stands at an elevation of 180 metres and is 140 kms away from New Delhi. The city has several schools, both public and private. It is home to the world renowned Aligarh Muslim University which has over 300 courses, both traditional and modern with over 30,000 students.
