About Madha:

Madha Parliamentary Constituency is one of the 48 Lok Sabha constituencies of Maharashtra, formed after the delimitation of constituencies in 2008 and comprises of six segments of a legislative assembly, two of which are reserved for the SC category. 1,558,442 is the total electorate count in the Madha Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 43). Out of these 803,949 number of electorates are males and the remaining 754,493 are belong to the female category as the Election commission of India 2009 reports suggest.

 About Madha:

 Madha is a city belonging to the Solapur District located on the banks of River Mankarna. It is one of the tehsils of the district and comprises of 922 villages sprawling over an area of over 1,540 sq km at a height of 491 m. 

The tehsil has a total population of 292,611 and a sex ratio of 922 females per 1000 males. 52% comprises of males and 48% comprises of females while 13% is under the age of six. There is a Hindu majority and Marathi is widely spoken in the area. The average literacy rate is 74%, male literacy rate is 83% and female literacy rate is 65%. Madha has several schools and colleges including a prestigious engineering college. Agriculture is the primary occupation and economic activity of the area and some industrial centers are also located here. The district has access to several National Highways, Nh-9, NH-13, NH-204 and NH-211 and also has a well connected railway system.

The Aonla Parliamentary constituency (constituency number 24) has a total of 1,310,878 electorates out of which 578,766 are females and 732,112 are males according to Election Commission of India 2009 reports.

Aonla is a municipal board and a city in the Bareily district of UP. This district covers an area of 4,120 square kilometers. The city of Aonla is located in the north-eastern part of the state at an average elevation of 237 meters. Hindi is the official language of Aonla.

About Aonla:

Aonla is a municipal board and a city in the Bareily district of UP. This district covers an area of 4,120 square kilometers. The city of Aonla is located in the north-eastern part of the state at an average elevation of 237 meters. Hindi is the official language of Aonla. Agriculture is the most important activity here, contributing to the majority of the economic setup of the town. Aonla has a promising number of notable schools and colleges, both government and private. Aonla has a well-established network of roads and NH-24 and NH-74 pass through the district.

Demographic Pattern:

According to the census data of 2001, Aonla houses 45,263 people of whom 52% are males and 48% are females. It has a sex ratio of 883 females per 1000 males and 15% of the population is below the age of six. The city of Aonla has an average literacy of 79% with male and female literacy at 91% and 69% respectively.

About the Constituency:

Formerly called Kanara, Uttara Kannada is one of the 28 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state of Karnataka located in southern region of India. The name of the constituency was changed following the Delimitation of Parliamentary and Constituencies Order of 2008. The total number of electorates in the Uttara Kannada Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 12) according to Election Commission of India 2009 reports are 1,286,556 of which 661,530 are males and 625,026 are females.

There are eight Assembly constituencies in Uttara Kanada. The previous assembly segment of Ankola was abolished following the delimitation, while the assembly constituency of Yellapur came into existence and was incorporated.

About Uttara Kanada:

It is located in the geographic boundaries of the Konkan District of Uttara Kannada or North Canara. With a population of 14,86,874, according to the 2011 Census of India, the district is one of the most advanced and less populated regions in the state. 

Situated in the North Kanara district is the administrative headquarters, the Karwar city. The economy of the Uttara Kannada Parliamentary constituency is reliant on a strong agricultural base, as this region is famous for growing rice and areca nut crops, besides spices, cotton, pepper, nutmeg, cardamom, and others. This constituency is famous across the world for becoming a global platform for jewellery, glass, ceramics, as well as software.

Present Political Scenario:

A BJP bastion

This is again a BJP stronghold and the party has re-nominated Anant Kumar hegde for this seat, although there was talk of making a change this time and going for former education minister Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri, which never materialized in the end. This is an area dominated by Brahmin politics and Congress may find it difficult to defeat BJP.

About the Constituency:

Covering the districts of Bhind and Datia, the Bhind parliamentary constituency is one of the politically active Lok Sabha seats in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. This seat is reserved for candidates belonging to the scheduled castes. The Bhind Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 2) consists of 1,364,411 number of electorates in totality, of these 752,205 are males and 612,206 are females as the Election commission of India 2009 data suggests.  

 

Assembly Segments:

According to the Delimitation Commission of India, the legislative assembly segments in this parliamentary constituency were reorganised in 2008, to replace the assembly constituencies of Ron and Seondha with the assembly segments of Bhander and Sewda. Out of these segments, while Sewda, Bhander and Datia cover the entire district of Datia, the remaining five assembly segments are spread across the Bhind district. Bhind has a population of 17,03,005, as per the Census of India 2011.  

Political Background:

The total number of electorates in the Bhind parliamentary constituency, as per the 2009 Lok Sabha elections is 13,71,252 people. Although, the Congress has won some elections from this constituency which witnessed the first elections in the year 1962, this seat has remained one of the most important vote-banks for the Bharatiya Janata Party.

With a total of 14,62,981 voters as per the Lok Sabha elections of 2009, the Bhopal parliamentary constituency is one of the 29 Lok Sabha seats in the state of Madhya Pradesh, situated in the central parts of India. According to Election Commission of India 2009 data the total electorates in the Bhopal Parliamentary constituency (constituency number 19) were 1,461,714 of which 681,871 are females and 779,843 are males. The constituency of Bhopal fought its first Lok Sabha elections in 1951.

As per the Delimitation Commission of India’s Order of 2008, the total number of assembly constituencies which comprise the Bhopal seat is eight, out of which Berasia in the Bhopal district is reserved for candidates belonging to the scheduled castes and the others are not reserved for the marginalised sections of the society.

The city of Bhopal, which is the administrative headquarters of the Bhopal district, is also the capital city of the state of Madhya Pradesh.  

It thrives on an industrial economy, comprising small-scale and medium-scale industries. Besides, Bhopal being home to some large-scale manufacturing of important elements such as chemicals, medicinal cotton, jewellery, it also houses the biggest engineering and manufacturing enterprise in the country, the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited.
