About Baramati:

Formed prior to the 1977 elections, Baramati is one of the 48 constituencies of the Maharashtra state. The Baramati Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 35) consists of 1,593,460 number of electorates in totality, of these 828,776 are males and 764,684 are females as the Election commission of India 2009 data suggests.

About Baramati:

 The city of Baramati lies in the Pune District at a height of 538 m. It is located along the banks of River Karha and is very close to the Solapur District and is 100 km away from the city of Pune. 

It is home to over 51,000 people of whom 51% consists of males and 49% of females. Children constitute about 13% and the sex ratio is 932 females per 1000 males. The average literacy rate of the district is 87%, male and female literacy being 91% and 82% respectively. Baramati has grown as an education center over the last decade and has several institutes of engineering, law and biotechnology. Many schools, junior colleges and coaching centers are also located here. Agriculture is the main economic activity here with cultivation of wheat, grapes, cotton and sugarcane. Cattle rearing also add to the economy. It is engaged in exporting of grapes and sugar as well as steel processing and wine making. Automobile factories have also been established here. NH-4, NH-9 and NH-12 link the city to the rest of the country.

Ahmednagar Parliamentary Constituency is one of the 48 Lok Sabha constituencies of Maharashtra which was formed prior to the 1962 elections. 1,517,951 is the total electorate count in the Ahmednagar Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 37). Out of these 789,897 number of electorates are males and the remaining 728,054 are belong to the female category as the Election commission of India 2009 reports suggest. It belongs to the Ahmednagar District and has six Vidhan Sabha segments.

About Ahmednagar:

This is the largest district of the state and its headquarters are established in Ahmednagar City. The city is located at the banks of Sina River and at a distance of 120 km from Pune. It covers an area of about 40 sq km at an elevation of 650 metres. 

Ahmednagar City has a total population of about 4,00,000 with 63% male majority. It has a sex ratio of about 930 females per 1,000 males. The city has 53% Hindu majority with Muslims, Buddhists, Christians and Jains residents as well. Marathi and Hindi are the prevalent languages here and English is the medium of education. With a literacy rate of 81%, it has several schools, both private and public as well as many colleges which offer degree courses. It houses several industries like those of agricultural equipments and pharmaceutical industries. It also has over 17 sugar factories. The National Highways NH-50 and NH-222 connect the city to several nearby towns and cities.

About Beed:

Beed is one of the 48 Lok Sabha parliamentary constituencies of the state of Maharashtra and belongs to the Beed district. According to Election Commission of India 2009 data, the total electorates in the Beed Parliamentary constituency (constituency number 39) were 1,637,239 of which 783,397 are females and 853,842 are males. It was formed in the year 1951 and was originally a part of the state of Hyderabad until the creation of Maharashtra in 1960. It is divided into 6 segments and Beed city is the headquarters of the district and municipal council of Beed.

About Beed:

Beed city has a population of about 1,40,000 of which 52% are males. It has a higher sex ratio than of the state’s average with 924 females per 1,000 males. Even the birth and death rates of 16% and 3% are lesser than the national average. Befitting Indian diversity, the city sprawling over 70 sq km is home to Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists and Jains with a Hindu majority of 53%. The city lies on the Deccan Plateau, along the banks of River Bensura which has caused several floods over the years. The city also falls under the Seismic Hazard Zone-III. 

Marathi, English, Hindi and Urdu are the popular languages here. The city has a literacy rate of 73% and several schools and colleges have been established in the area by the district council. Beed is economically quite backwards and the district is the 7th poorest in the state.

About Hatkanangale:

Hatkanangale Parliamentary Constituency is one of the 48 constituencies of Maharashtra state. It was initially formed before 1962 but was dissolved in 1976 with Ichalkaranji as the new constituency. The total number of electorates in the Hatkanangle Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 48) according to Election Commission of India 2009 reports are 1,458,560 of which 743,516 are males and 715,044 are females. Again, with the delimitation of 2008, Hatkanangale came into existence and Ichalkaranji was dissolved as a result. The new constituency has six segments of Vidhan Sabha, one of which is reserved for the SC category. The city of Ichalkaranji falls under this constituency as well.

About Hatkanangale:

Hatkanangale is a tehsil headquarters of the Ichalkaranji subdivision belonging to the district of Kolhapur and is home to over 25,000 people. The area has a sex ratio of 250 females for every 1,000 males. It has basic education facilities with a handful of schools and just one college. Textile, small scale manufacturing, jowar cultivation, soybean cultivation and groundnut cultivation are the main economic activities here.  

Marathi is the local and official language and the town is a tranquil place to live in with no history of large scale turbulence. It is connected to the several neighbouring cities via an extensive road network.

Hingoli Parliamentary Constituency is one of the 48 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state of Maharashtra. The total number of electorates in the Hingoli Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 15) according to Election Commission of India 2009 reports are 1,369,774 of which 705,606 are males and 664,168 are females.

 

About Hingoli:

The city of Hingoli is the headquarters of the Hingoli District, which is a part of the Aurangabad division. It is famous for the Dussehra festival, an annual fair acclaimed to be the second largest in India. Hingoli City has a population of over 70,000 of which 51% consists of males. It has a sex ratio of 942 females for every 1,000 males. Hingoli is located in the northern region of the Marathwada, surrounded by Akola, Yevotmal, Parbhani and Nanded. It covers an area of about 16.5 sq km and has an elevation of over 450 metres. 

Hingoli has an average literacy rate of 68% and has several schools and colleges. Most of the schools here follow the CBSE mode of education. Marathi is the official language in the area. Hindi, Marwari and Urdu are also spoken here. The town has a 51% Hindu majority closely followed by Muslims at 34%. Hingoli belongs to the No Industry Zone of the Hingoli District and is also one of the 250 poorest regions of the country.
