NEW DELHI: Enthused by its success in the just-concluded assembly polls, BJP has swiftly slid into battle mode for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, with party chief Rajnath Singh setting the second half of January as the deadline for releasing the first list of party candidates.

14 political parties share stage to signal they are anti-Modi.
A clutch of regional parties from across the country, most with a history of being fiercely anti-Congress, came together on Wednesday saying they wanted to fight communalism , with their target being the BJP and its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
Although none of them predicted a political realignment before the 2014 elections, the convention against communalism attended by 14 parties - including UPA constituent NCP - was silent on the Congress and the UPA government.

New Delhi: The war of words between the Congress and BJP is heating up. Information Technology Minister Kapil Sibal hit out at Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi alleging that the Gujarat Chief Minister needs to do a fact finding check before he delivers a speech and challenged him for an open debate on any matter.
