About Dindigul:

Dindigul is one of the 39 constituencies of Tamil Nadu which was formed in 1952. 1,085,696 is the total electorate count in the Dindigul Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 22). Out of these 542,520 number of electorates are males and the remaining 543,176 are belong to the female category as the Election commission of India 2009 reports suggest. It has six legislative assembly segments, one of which is reserved for the SC category and over 1,080,000 voters belong to this constituency.

About Dindigul:

Dindigul Town is the administrative center of Dindigul District which has an area of over 6,000 sq km. It is divided into 8 talukas and is bordered by Kerala. 

According to India 2011 census data, Dindigul houses 2,160,000 with a 51% make majority. The district had a population growth rate of approximately 13% and it currently has a population density of 360 per sq km. Children occupy 10% of the population and the sex ratio is 998 females per 1000 males. The district has an average literacy rate of 77% with male literacy rate of 84% and female literacy rate of 69%. Tamil and English are the official languages here. Being one of the 250 most backward districts of India, it receives monetary aid from the Backward Regions Grant Fund Programme. Almost all the people are involved in agriculture. The district is connected to the National Highways NH-7, NH-49 and NH-209.

About Cuddalore:

Cuddalore is one of the 39 Lok Sabha constituencies of Tamil Nadu formed in the year 1952. The total number of electorates in the Cuddalore Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 26) according to Election Commission of India 2009 reports are 986,030 of which 499,748 are males and 486,282 are females. It comprises of six Vidhan Sabha segments of which one is for the SC category and the constituency has a total of 986,030 voters.

About Cuddalore:

Cuddalore cIty is the headquarters as well as the largest city of the Cuddalore District. The district comprises of seven talukas and sprawls over an area of 3,703 sq km. The city of Cuddalore has an altitude of just 6 m and is at a distance of 200 km from the state capital and 18 km away from Puducherry. 

 According to the census data of 2011, Cuddulore District houses 2,605,914 people of which 51% comprises of males and 49% comprises of females. Between 2001 and 2011, the population increased at a rate of 14% and the population density recorded here is 704 people per sq km. About 11% comprises of the child population and the sex ratio is 987 females for every 1000 males. The district has an average literacy rate of 78.04% with male and female literacy rates at 86% and 70% respectively. Tamil and English are the most prevalent languages here. The Cuddalore District is one of the 250 most backward districts of India and receive financial aid. NH-45A passes through the area.

Formerly Sivakasi, the parliamentary constituency of Virudhunagar came into existence post the delimitation of the constituencies and is one of the 39 constituencies of Tamil Nadu. It has 992,051 electors and is made of six legislative assembly segments. The Virudhunagar Parliamentary constituency (constituency number 34) has a total of 992,051 electorates out of which 500,734 are females and 491,317 are males according to Election Commission of India 2009 reports.

About Erode:

Erode Parliamentary Constituency is one of the 39 Lok Sabha constituencies in Tamil Nadu, which presently comprises of six Vidhan Sabha segments of which one is for the SC category. According to Election Commission of India 2009 data the total electorates in the Erode Parliamentary constituency (constituency number 18) were 1,010,079 of which 502,945 are females and 507,134 are males. It has 1,010,079 voters and came into existence post the 2008 delimitation of constituencies.

About Erode:

The administrative headquarters of Erode District is situated in the city of Erode. It is located at a distance of about 400 km from Chennai and about 80 km from Combaitore. The city lies at an average elevation of 183 meters and covers an area of 9 sq. km. Tamil is the official language here. 

As per the census data of 2011, Eorde has a population of 521,776 of which 51% are males and about 10% of the total population is children below the age of six. The city has an average literacy rate of 85%, 83% of male literacy and73% female literacy. More than 30,000 people of the city reside in slums. Hindus have a religious majority. 35% of the workforce is involved in urban activities. Textile industries, trade and small manufacturing units are found all over the city. NH-47, SH-15, SH-37, SH-79, SH-79A, SH-84, SH-84A and SH-96 pass through the city.

The Perambalur Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 25) consists of 1,049,033 number of electorates in totality, of these 520,054 are males and 528,979 are females as the Election commission of India 2009 data suggests.

About Perambular:

It has 1,049,033 voters over six legislative assembly segments with two of them for the SC category and one for the ST category. Located at an average elevation of 143 m over an area of over 1,750 sq km, the Perambular District has its headquarters in the city of Perambular. It is located in the center of the State and has three taluks and 121 village panchayats. 

As per 2011 Indian Census data, the district has a population of over 564,000 with 51% males and 49% females. With a population density of 323 inhabitants per sq km, it is the least population district of the state. Over 10% is under the age of six and the sex ratio is 1006 females per 1000 males. The average literacy rate here is 75%, with 84% male literacy rate and 67% female literacy rate. Tamil and English are the commonly used languages here. 32% of the population is SC and 0.22% is ST. The National Highways NH-45 and NH-226 along with the State Highway SH-157 connects the district to an extensive road network.
