About the Constituency:

Jodhpur Parliamentary Constituency is one of the 25 Lok Sabha constituencies in Rajasthan, which presently comprises of eight Vidhan Sabha segments and came into existence prior to the 1952 elections. 1,506,821 is the total electorate count in the Jodhpur Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 16). Out of these 800,058 number of electorates are males and the remaining 706,763 are belong to the female category as the Election commission of India 2009 reports suggest.’

About Jodhpur:

The administrative headquarters of Jodhpur District is situated in the city of Jodhpur, the second largest city in Rajasthan. It is located in the western part of the state at a distance of about 250 km from the international border of Pakistan. The city lies at an average elevation of 231 meters and covers an area of 112.40 sq. km. Hindi is the official language of Jodhpur. 

As per the census data of 2011, Jodhpur has a population of 1,033,918 of which 52.62% are males and 12.24% of the total population is children below the age of six. The city of Jodhpur has an average literacy rate of 81.56%, 88.42% of male literacy and 73.93% female literacy. Hinduism is the predominant religion here with 93% majority. The Handicrafts industry contributes to the majority of the economy of Jodhpur. It is also developing fast as an education hub for higher studies in western India with branches of premier institutes like IIT and AIIMS in besides numerous other notable institutions. National Highways NH-65, 112 and 114 pass through the city.

About the Constituency:

The Parliamentary Constituency of Nagaur is one of the 25 Lok Sabha constituencies of Rajasthan formed before the 1952 elections and presently comprises of eight Vidhan Sabha segments of which one has been reserved for the SC category. The Nagaur Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 14) consists of 1,486,307 number of electorates in totality, of these 775,129 are males and 711,178 are females as the Election commission of India 2009 data suggests.

About Nagaur:

The administrative headquarters of this district is situated in Nagaur which lies midway between Jodhpur and Bikaner. Nagaur district spans over an area of 17,718 sq. kms, making it the fifth largest district of Rajasthan. The town of Nagaur is situated at an average elevation of 302 metres roughly at the centre of the state. Hindi is the official language here with Marwadi being widely spoken by the locals.

As per the 2011 census, Nagaur district has a total population of 33,40,234 of which 50.29% are males and 49.71% are females. 14.93% of the total population is children under the age of six. The sex ratio is 948 females per 1,000 males. The overall literacy rate is 64.08%, with male literacy at 78.90% and female literacy at 48.63%. 51% of the total population is Hindu while 46% are Muslims. Nagaur has a number of schools and colleges present. Tourism industry forms a significant part of the economic system of the city. Nagaur is well connected to the rest of the state by a network of roads and railways.

About the Constituency:

Formed post the 2008 delimitation of parliamentary constituencies, Raver is one of the 48 constituencies of Maharashtra and comprises of six legislative assembly segments of which one is reserved for the SC category and one is reserved for the ST category. According to Election Commission of India 2009 data the total electorates in the Raver Parliamentary constituency (constituency number 4) were 1,418,691 of which 683,204 are females and 735,487 are males.

About Raver:

The city of Raver is one of the fifteen tehsils of the Jalgaon district in north Maharashtra and lies at a distance of 22 km from Madhya Pradesh. It has a total area of about 20 sq km and an altitude of over 240 m. 

The city has a total population of about 26,000 with a 59% Hindu majority followed by 28% of Muslims. The population has a 52% male majority and a child population of 15%. The sex ratio of Raver is 933. The average literacy rate is 65% with male literacy of 72% and female literacy of 58%. Schools and colleges with basic facilities are available here and Marathi is the local language. English and Hindi are also widely used. The economy is boosted mostly by agriculture, especially banana production. Transportation mainly relies on railways of the Bhusawal division.

About the Constituency:

Headquarters of the Kota District, the constituency of Kota is one of the 25 Lok Sabha constituencies of Rajasthan state. It consists of eight legislative assembly segments and was formed prior to the elections of 1952. The total number of electorates in the Kota Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 24) according to Election Commission of India 2009 reports are 1,498,971 of which 792,388 are males and 706,583 are females.

 About Kota:

The Kota city is the third largest city of Rajasthan and is located in the south-eastern part of Rajasthan at a distance of about 240 km south of the capital of the state. The city lies at an average elevation of 271 meters and covers a total area of 318 sq. km. Hindi is the official language of Kota with the native Harauti dialect being widely spoken as well. 

As per the census 2011, Kota has a total population of 1,001,365 of which 53% are males and 47% are females. The city of Kota has an average literacy rate of 83.65%, with male literacy at 90.56% and female literacy at 75.90%. It has a sex ratio of 912 females per 1000 males and 77% of the people are Hindus. The economy of this city is mainly driven by the nation-wide fame of its coaching centers. Besides, it is also the trade center for a variety of agricultural products. National Highways NH 12 and NH 76 pass through Kota.
