About Balurghat:
One of the 42 parliamentary constituencies of the state of West Bengal, Balurghat city represents Dakshin Dinajpur district of the State. 1,010,224 is the total electorate count in the Balurghat Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 6). Out of these 530,001 number of electorates are males and the remaining 480,223 are belong to the female category as the Election commission of India 2009 reports suggest. It was formed before the 1962 elections and has a total number of 1,010,000 voters. This constituency comprises of seven assembly segments of which six lie in Dakshin Dinajpur District and one is in Uttar Dinajpur District. Out of these segments, one is reserved for ST and one for SC categories. Prior to 2009 elections, this seat was reserved for SC category.

About Balurghat:
The city of Balurghat is the headquarters of the Dakshin Dinajpur District and it is located on the banks of River Atreyee which runs through the city. It is very near to the Bangladesh border and is at a distance of 80 km from Eklakhi and around 430 km away from the Kolkata. It stands at an average elevation of 25 m and covers an area of over 363 sq km. The total population is over 164,000 with a child population of about 10,500. The sex ratio is around 990 females for every 1000 males. The average literacy rate of Balurghat is around 91% and it is home to various colleges and schools. Balurghat is considered to be the trading hub of North West Bengal and it deals in rice, jute, oil seeds and sugarcane trade.

About Bankura:
One of the 42 parliamentary constituencies of West Bengal, Bankura is a constituency of the Bankura district. The Bankura Parliamentary constituency (constituency number 36) has a total of 1,268,563 electorates out of which 608,017 are females and 660,546 are males according to Election Commission of India 2009 reports. It was formed prior to the 1951 elections and has a total of 1,268,563 voters. This constituency comprises of seven assembly segments of which six lie in Bankura District and one is in Purulia District.

About Bankura:
The city of Bankura is the headquarters of the Bankura District. It lies is often described as the "connecting link between the plains of Bengal and Chota Nagpur Plateau". The city is around 100 Kms away from Kolkata. It stands at an average elevation of 78 m and covers an area of over 3383 sq km.
As per 2011 census, it has a population of over 3,596,000 with around 10% population under the age of six. About 51% of the population is male and the sex ratio is 954 females for every 1000 males. The average literacy rate of Bankura is around 71%. Bankura has a rich culture and it has recently gained popularity amongst the tourists from all over India. Bankura is well connected to several cities via National Highways NH-60 and NH-60A which connect it to major cities in and around West Bengal.

About Baharampur:
The town of Baharampur is the district headquarters of the Murshidabad District and is located 200 km away from Kolkata at an elevation of 18 m. To its west, the River Bhagirath flows and the city is the sixth largest city of the state.
As per the 2011 India census data, the total population here is over 305,600 of which 157,000 are males and 150,000 are females. About 12% of the population is under the age of six and the sex ratio is 945 females per 1000 males. With an average literacy rate of 90.29%, which is much higher than the national average, Baharampur has male and female literacy rates are 92.36% and 88.09% respectively. Bengali, Hindi and English are widely spoken in the area. Silk trade, agriculture, cottage industries, handicraft, etc are the popular economic activities associated to this majorly agrarian area. About the Constituency:
Often termed the “Leningrade of Bihar” owing to the hold of the Communists of India over this constituency, the Begusarai parliamentary constituency is one of the 40 Lok Sabha constituencies of Bihar. According to Election Commission of India 2009 data the total electorates in the Begusarai Parliamentary constituency (constituency number 24) were 1,473,263 of which 687,910 are females and 785,353 are males. Located in the Begusarai district of Bihar, the Begusarai city is the administrative headquarters of the district. The constituency is also a municipal corporation in the Begusarai district.
This parliamentary constituency is significant as it is the birthplace of an eminent Hindi poet , Rashtrakavi Ramdhari Singh. It is home to the Ganga River which surrounds it in the North. According to the 2011 Census, the population in the Begusarai district is 29,70,541..
