About the Constituency:

Kolhapur Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 48 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Maharashtra state in western India. Presently, after the implementation of the Presidential notification on delimitation on February 19, 2008.

Kolhapur Lok Sabha constituency comprises of six Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly) segments. Shri Mandlik Sadashivrao Dadoba is the current MP of Kolhapur Lok Sabha constituency. He is the member of Independent Political Party.

About the Constituency:

One of the 11 parliamentary constituencies in Chhattisgarh is called Janjgir. 1,518,450 is the total electorate count in the Janjgir Champa Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 3). Out of these 776,245 number of electorates are males and the remaining 742,205 are belong to the female category as the Election commission of India 2009 reports suggest. It is also called the Janjgir-Champa parliamentary constituency as most of the assembly segments that comprise this constituency are part of the Janjgir-Champa district. This Lok Sabha constituency can only be contested by candidates belonging to the scheduled castes, as it is a reserved constituency. The constituency of Janjgir-Champa has a population of 16,19,707, as per the 2011 Census.

The total number of voters in the constituency, as per the 2009 Lok Sabha election statistics is 7,37,578 people. The Janjgir-Champa constituency is spread in more than one district, with the assembly segments scattered across the expansive regions. 

This constituency, which was once an integral part of Bilaspur, became the Janjgir- Champa constituency only in 1997, when the two districts were separated.

Janjgir city is the administrative headquarter and the municipal corporation of the district. Though the region of this Lok Sabha constituency has a prominent rice and flour milling agricultural base that provides the district its economy, a heavy chemical industries is also flourishing in this region. 

 Assembly Segments:

While Akaltara, Janjgir-Champa, Sakti, Chandrapur, Jaijaipur and Pamgarh are together part of the Janjgir-Champa district, the assembly segments of Bilaigarh and Kasdol are in the Raipur district. Only the Pamgarh and Bilaigarh legislative assembly segments are reserved for SC candidates.

About Korba:

The Korba Lok Sabha seat came into existence in 2008 and contested its first Lok Sabha elections immediately the year after. According to Election Commission of India 2009 data the total electorates in the Korba Parliamentary constituency (constituency number 4) were 1,276,443 of which 616,702 are females and 659,741 are males. The Korba constituency is one of the 11 parliamentary constituencies in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh and plays a prominent role in the political affairs of the state.

A Congress vote bank bastion, this parliamentary constituency is made up of eight assembly constituencies that comprise the Korba parliamentary constituency.

 Assembly Segments:

 Out of these, four segments, namely Bharatpur-Sonhat, Marwahi, Rampur and Pali-Tanakhar are reserved for candidates belonging to the scheduled tribes.

The Korba constituency is spread over more than one district, as the assembly segments are scattered over many regions. While the Koriya district's regions of Bharatpur-Sonhat, Manendragarh and Baikunthpur assembly segments fall within this constituency, the Korba district's Rampur, Korba, Katghora and Pali-Tanakhar segments are in this constituency. Marwahi assembly constituency is part of the Bilaspur district.

About Korba:

The Korba is known for its rich coal mines, such as Dipka area, Kusmunda area and Gevra area, which supports the main economic base in the constituency. The Korba city is the main administrative seat of the Korba district, besides being its municipal corporation. According to the Census of India 2011, Korba has a population of 12,06,640 people.

About the Constituency:

Mumbai North-Central is one of the 48 Lok Sabha constituencies of Maharashtra and was formed before 1952. The Mumbai North Central Parliamentary constituency (constituency number 29) has a total of 1,681,985 electorates out of which 743,036 are females and 938,949 are males according to Election Commission of India 2009 reports. It comprises of six Vidhan Sabha segments and is one of the six parliamentary constituencies representing the Mumbai Metropolitan.

About Mumbai North- Central:

The city of Mumbai is the capital of Maharashtra and is also India’s most populated city as well as the world’s fourth most densely populated city. It has a total area of 4,355 sq km and has an altitude of only 14 m. It is situated along the Arabian Sea on the west coast of India.

According to 2011 India census data, it has a total population of 18,414,288 of which male and female population are 9,894,088 and 8,520,200. Mumbai boasts of an average literacy rate of 90.78% with male and female literacy rate of 93.85% and 87.19% respectively. The city has a sex ratio of 852 females for every 1000 males and a population density of 20,482 inhabitants per sq km. More than fifteen languages are spoken here including Marathi, Hindi, English, Urdu and Gujarati. About 67.39% of the population is Hindu while several other ethnic groups also reside here. About the Constituency:

Keonjhar Parliamentary Constituency was formed before the elections of 1957 and is one of the 21 Lok Sabha constituencies of Odisha state. The total number of electorates in the Keonjhar Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 4) according to Election Commission of India 2009 reports are 1,265,225 of which 644,748 are males and 620,477 are females. It is reserved for the ST and consists of seven Vidhan Sabha segments of which one is reserved for the SC category.

About Keonjhar:

The city of Keonjhar is also known as Kendujhar and lies in north Odisha bordered by Jharkhand, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj and Bhadrak at a height of about 596 metres. Keonjhar District sprawls over an area of about 8,300 sq kms. 

According to the census of 2011, the District had a population of about 18,01,733, of which the males were 906,487 and females 895,246. The average literacy rate of the District is 68% and male and female literacy rates are 78% and 58%, respectively. The languages which are prevalent here are Oriya, Bengali, Hindi and English. 

The city has many prominent education centres and is an important hub of education in the region. The area is one of the primary mineral producer of the state and also has an extensive forest covers enabling the production of various products like tamarind, mushrooms, silk cocoons, etc. The National Highways NH-49 and NH-215 place the city in the midst of a well-connected road network.
