About the Supaul:
One of the 40 Parliamentary constituencies in the state of Bihar is Supaul. It came into existence in 2008, and held its first election in the year 2009. 1,279,549 is the total electorate count in the Supaul Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 8). Out of these 672,904 number of electorates are males and the remaining 606,645 are belong to the female category as the Election commission of India 2009 reports suggest. The constituency is situated in the Supaul District, located in northeastern regions of Bihar.
The Supaul Parliamentary constituency is bounded by Nepal to the north, Madhepura District to the south, Madhubani District to the west, and Araria District to the east.
The primary urban centre in the district is the city of Supaul, which is the administrative capital. About the Constituency:
One of the 48 constituencies of the state of Maharashtra, Jalna Lok Sabha Constituency was formed prior to the 1957 elections and consists of six Vidhan Sabha segments one of which is reserved for the SC category. The Jalna Parliamentary constituency (constituency number 18) has a total of 1,426,255 electorates out of which 675,099 are females and 751,156 are males according to Election Commission of India 2009 reports.

About Jalna:
Jalna district is located in central Maharashtra under the Aurangabad division and its headquarters lie in the city of Jalna which sprawls over an area of 35 sq km at a height of about 500 m.
According to census 2001, the city has a population of over 235,000 of which 52% consists of males and 48% comprises of females. Hindus have a 63% majority and 15% of the population is below the age of six. The sex ratio of the city is 929 females per 1000 males. The average literacy rate is 64% with male and female literacy at 71% and 57% respectively. Marathi is the official language. The city is one of the renowned centers of education of the state and is home to more than twenty colleges which offer degrees in various fields. Primary economic activities include cotton-spinning, weaving and ginning as well as several large and small scale industries. Several major highways connect the city to an extensive road network.

About Durg:
The parliamentary constituency of Durg, which covers the entire region of the Durg district in Chhattisgarh, is one of the 11 Lok Sabha constituencies in this Central Indian state. The total number of electorates in the Durg Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 7) according to Election Commission of India 2009 reports are 1,620,400 of which 829,756 are males and 790,644 are females. This constituency is one of Chhattisgarh’s most politically sensitive and principal concerns of the government, as it is frequently raided by the Red rebels whose hideouts is in this state.
Durg city which is a crucial agricultural market in the state, and an integral part of the Durg parliamentary constituency, is the administrative headquarters of the Durg district.
About Durg:
With a population of 33,43,079 people as per the 2011 Census of India, this district situated in the western regions of the state, is a significant industrial belt in Chhattisgarh. The Bhilai Steel Plant provides the backbone of the economy in the Durg city, the third largest city in Chhattisgarh, after Raipur and Bilaspur.

About Cuttack:
The city of Cuttack is the administrative centre of Cuttack district and is popularly known as the 'Millennium City'. It used to be the capital of the state until Bhubaneswar replaced it in 1948. Cuttack is located along the coast of Bay of Bengal at the vertex of the Mahanadi delta. It covers an area of about 140 sq km and it stands at an elevation of about 40 metres.
It is the commercial as well as judicial centre of the state and has a population of over 6,00,000. 53% of the population comprises of males and a sex ratio of 914 females per 1,000 males. 94% of the population is Hindu. It has an average literacy rate of 77% and Oriya and English are the official languages. It has over 30 schools, more than 117 engineering colleges and three universities as well as three research institutes.
National Highway NH-5 connects Cuttack to several cities and the city’s bus terminal is one of the largest in the country. CIt has over 10 large scale industries and agriculture is one of the mainstay of Cuttack's economy.

About Katihar:
As part of the Purnia Division, the Katihar district has the town of Katihar as its administrative headquarters. The district of Katihar was formed as one of the 38 districts in the state of Bihar in the year 1973, when it was split from the Purnia district. This district was recognized by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj in 2006 as one of the most backward districts in the state; thus it is being funded under special economic schemes such as the Backward Regions Grant Fund Programme.
Political Background:
This constituency of Katihar has remained a BJP stronghold for the last few Lok Sabha elections, with Nikhil Kumar Choudhary of the party currently dominating the political space. He has been elected as MP of Katihar for three consecutive elections in a row, beginning in 1999 till now.
Present Political Scenario:
In KatiharTariq Anwar of the NCP is no longer the powerhouse that he once was, so Nikhil Kumar Chaudhary who is also the sitting MP of BJP has a very good advantage on this seat in 2014.
