 Major issues in Kalyan:

Kalyan Junction is a major railway junction station on the central line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway network, lying at the junction of the north-east and south-east lines of the suburban Mumbai division of the Central Railway, 54 km north-east of Mumbai. It is the third busiest station on Mumbai Suburban Railway after Thane and Andheri, where all mail and express trains halt, and there is a demand to upgrade the station into an integrated railway terminal as Mumbai CST and Kalyan station is already saturated to its limits. Although there are new development like escallator installed, people are demanding single hood structure like CST. Also, more efforts are required to keep the hygiene conditions better on the platform, Cleaniness Management, seating arrangement on platforms etc. needs to improve.
