Sikkim Assembly Elections 2019 Details

Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) who has been ruling the state since its inception in 1994, continued to rule the state by winning the lone Lok Sabha seat in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. SDF also won the assembly elections which were held along the Lok Sabha elections in the state. One of the smallest state of the north eastern region of India, Sikkim is represented by a single constituency in the Parliament. The single Lok Sabha constituency was held by the Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) government since previous elections too. Although, the assembly constituencies are led by the Indian National Congress (INC).

Sikkim, one of the smallest and the least populated states in the country, has a unicameral legislature, with only one house of the State Legislative Assembly also called the Vidhan Sabha. The State legislative Assembly has 32 directly elected members. The tenure of the Vidhan Sabha is five years unless it is dissolved. The seat of the State Legislative Assembly is at Gangtok, the capital of the state.

The north eastern Himalayan kingdom of Sikkim joined the Indian Union on April 26, 1975. The first Legislative Assembly elections were held in 1979. The Indian National Congress won the first elections. Since then, the state has held regular elections to the Vidhan Sabha. In 1984 Sikkim Sangram Parishad founded by Shri Nar Bahadur Bhandari came to power. The party remained in power for ten years till losing ground to the SDF.

Analysis : The raw data from the field is compiled and a detailed research to correlate various factors will be conducted with respect to past election results. A comprehensive analysis will be carried out and focus areas will be shortlisted to be taken up further. This analysis will divide the booths in four groups, i.e., strong booths, weak booths, threatened booths, and opportune booths. A comparison between the strength of the individual vis a vis strength of the parties will also be done. In addition to the above analysis, the data gathered will be managed in software developed by Leadtech. This will enable the client to view the data collected through a user friendly graphical interface and come up with his own analysis and strategies.

oTo manage the rally and party workers meetings, we can call our party workers with the help of phone numbers collected during survey which would be in database management software called “Voter Information Management System” alias VIMS

oYou can open a call center before 3 months of election to start the campaign (voter call center file attached here, explaining everything in detail).
