5 Feb 2015: Rahul Gandhi's bid to sell tribals in Delhi elections irks party worker
Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi's defence to shield himself from former minister Jyanthi Natarajan's allegations, regarding his interference in the working of environment ministry on Wednesday has irked his own party men, who are pitted in a tough battle, to revive fortunes in the national capital.
Addressing a rally for the assembly elections in Delhi, Rahul Gandhi said, "Yes I asked Jayanti Natarajan to save environment and tribals. I said something about Modi and they brought Jayanti Natarajan. Yes I have fought for the poor and tribals."

As the deadline for the end of campaigning for the Delhi Assembly elections drew closer, the Congress put up a show of strength.
Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi addressed a rally in Jehangirpuri, a slum resettlement colony, and predictably, questioned the Modi government's stance towards the economically weaker sections.
"When were in government in Delhi, we used work for the poor. The new government is spending crores on their 'Make in India' campaign. Has anything been done for make in India? He is wearing a 10 lakh rupee suit and newspapers say this is also not made in India," said the Congress vice president.

30 Jan 2015: Jayanthi Natarajan quits Congress
New Delhi, Senior Congress leader and former environment minister Jayanthi Natarajan Friday announced her resignation from the party. "I announce my resignation. I have not yet sent the letter," Natarajan told reporters, adding that she was anguished.
"I feel that the time has come now for me to rethink my association because what happened in the recent past. The Congress is no longer the Congress that I joined," said Natarajan, who was with the party for over 30 years.
She quit the Congress after writing a letter to Congress party president Sonia Gandhi. She that as the union environment minister she followed the party line with regard to protection of environment and also to "requests" from Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi's office. Natarajan was asked to put in her papers Dec 20, 2013 by then prime minister Manmohan Singh.
