Northern Angami By Poll Election 2017 results
Former Chief Minister of Nagaland Shurhozelie Liezietsu has won the by-election of the Northern Angami-I Assembly Constituency and has got 63.4% votes.

Counting to start shortly for Nagaland Angami by elections 2017
The contestting candidates are Former Chief Minister of Nagaland Dr Shurhozelie Liezietsu from Naga People’s Front (NPF) and Independent candidate Kekhrie Yhome, supported by TR Zeliang faction of the Naga People’s Front (NPF).
A total of 78.55 % voters voted in Northern Angami-I assembly constituency by-poll. Nagaland Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Abhijit Sinha had informed that in the by-elections of the Northern Angami-I Assembly Constituency, a total of 12,752 electorates exercised their franchise out of 16,235 voters

The Election Commission of India on Thursday announced 29 July as the by-election date to fill up two vacant Assembly constituencies in Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland.
- The Northern Angami-I constituency was vacated by MLA Khriehu Liezietsu to make way for his father Shurhozelie Liezietsu, the chief minister of Nagaland in May this year.
