ABP News Nielsen-Opinion poll: Arvind Kejriwal first choice for CM in Delhi
New Delhi: With the party pulling in some tough contestants to fight Delhi polls, the mood in the BJP seems to be invigorated. But at the same time there is dissent in the party as well over Kiran Bedi’s high chances of being their Delhi CM candidate. ABP News-Nielsen brings to you its latest survey on how the city feels with the recent induction of Kiran Bedi into BJP.
With Bedi being introduced as the tallest leader to lead the Delhi, can the party fight AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal on an even keel?
Kiran Bedi taken the right step by joining BJP ?
When we asked the respondents whether Kiran Bedi taken the right step by joining BJP or do you think she should have joined Aam Aadmi Party, we found some mixed reactions.
- 43.8% of respondents told us that they would have liked her to join the Aam Aadmi Party.
- 32.9% felt she took the right decision to join BJP.
- Less than one third of respondents (23%) claim that it does not matter to them which party Bedi joins.

Majority of the respondents (61.6%) claimed that even if Kiran Bedi is announced as BJP's CM candidate it will not impact their voting decision. 38.4% are of the opinion that it will impact their decision.

There seems to be close fight between AAP and BJP on which party to vote for. 46% intend to vote for AAP while 45% want to press the Lotus symbol. 8% go in favour of Congress party.

AAP seems to be getting higher support from Women respondents’ regardless of Kiran Bedi joining BJP.

Kiran Bedi seems to be giving tough competition to Arvind Kejriwal on being the most favourite CM candidate. 47% respondents wish to see Kejriwal as their CM while 43.9% people have given thumbs up to the former IPS officer. Ajay Maken has got 6.7% of votes.
(1489 people were surveyed between 17th January to 19th January, 2015.)
