(1)Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit announced today. Announces winter session's dates, BJP spells out its agenda, Sheila.
New Delhi: The Winter session of Delhi Assembly will be held from December 11 to 14, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit announced today.
The cabinet would request Lt Governor Tejendra Khanna to summon the assembly. The session will have four sittings.
The session would, likely, see tempers soaring as principal opposition Bharatiya Janata Party made clear that it would question the Delhi government’s inability to bring the perpetrators of CWG scam to book. In an anti-graft rally organized by the saffron party at Jantar Mantar on Wednesday, BJP leaders also made vociferous demands for auditing the accounts of power companies before allowing any future hike in the electricity tariffs. The delay in releasing funds for laying out a plan for regularizing the unauthorized colonies could be another issue on which BJP might seek to corner the Delhi government.
