Delhi Assembly Polls: Congress campaign has fewtakers in the capital
Following the poor show in the previous elections, the Congress in Delhi is leaving no stone unturned to woo the voters for the upcoming Assembly polls. Just like the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the Congress has started to raise the issues of inflated water and power bills. Senior party leaders have begun going door-to-door to campaign about the party's new initiatives. But all of this seems too little, too late.
Despite organising rallies and public meetings, the party has received a lukewarm response. According to sources, the party is having a hard time winning the people's trust. Also Read: Delhi candidate List, Delhi Election Schedule, Delhi Opinion poll
"People come to hear what the party leaders have to say but most end up criticising the party's techniques," said a senior party official, requesting anonymity. The party has also started a dedicated Facebook page and has a Twitter account. But so far, they have received only 177 'likes' on Facebook and 36 followers on Twitter.
"The party was never popular on any social networking website. But the leaders realised not only youngsters but people of every age are connecting with other parties on social networking sites," said another party leader.
