NEW DELHI: Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, who took over the reins two days ago, is suffering from fever and cold and will not attend office on Monday.
Kejriwal was scheduled to chair a meeting of Delhi Jal Board officials to discuss ways to provide free 700 litres of water per household as promised by him.
However, due to ill health he would not attend office and might take some important decisions from home itself.
In a series of tweets on Monday morning, 45-year-old Kejriwal said, "Running 102 fever since yesterday. Severe loose motions. Sad that I won't be able to attend office today.
"It was so important to attend office today.We had planned the water announcement. God, bahut galat time par bimaar kiya. (God, you have made me ill at the wrong time)", he tweeted. -'Times of India'
Kejriwal yesterday appealed for a week to 10 days' time to put a system in place to tackle people's grievances.
Kejriwal said he would accept the applications of people visiting him for redressal of their grievances only after a system is in place.
"I don't want to give you false assurances. I will take the application when we put a system in place to resolve the problems," said the leader of the AAP, which has interests of the common man at the core of its agenda.Sources-"ZEENEWS"
