Kejriwal takes charge as Delhi CM, Detailed distribution of portfolios in AAP government.
No Delhi government official will use red beacon and no officer or politician will take unnecessary security," says Kejriwal in first press conference as chief minister. Kejriwal to today meet officials of the power and water departments. He will also meet the Delhi Police chief.
The AAP government has to prove its majority in the legislative assembly on January 3. Kejriwal chairs his first cabinet meeting and distributes portfolios among his six ministers.

Delhi youngest Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal addresses crowd at Ramlila Maidan. In his first address to India he said:

- - Certainly a lot of change has taken place in Delhi, be it the Delhi gangrape protests or Anna Hazare's fast for Jan Lokpal Bill.
