2014 general elections: 25 crore people, 250 rallies BJP’s plan for Narendra Modi
NEW DELHI: BJP is going ahead full-throttle with its Narendra Modi-centric strategy in the run-up to Lok Sabha polls, setting a target of reaching out to at least 25 crore people through rallies and other public interactions of its PM candidate across the country.
"Since Modi was announced as the prime ministerial candidate, he has addressed 128 rallies which have been attended by nearly two crore people," BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told ET.
"Before the Lok Sabha elections, he will be holding around 200-250 rallies and other public programmes in an attempt to directly reach out to over 25 crore people." According to-"Economic times"
The party has been keen to announce record turnouts at each of the major rallies attended by Modi over the past two months.
Even on Sunday, at the Mumbai rally, the BJP claimed that nine lakh people were at the venue of the rally in the MMRDA Grounds, Bandra KUrla COmplex, though police estimated the number was closer to 3 lakh.
The party will also try to focus on states such as West Bengal, Kerala, Odisha and in the northeast where it does not have a presence.News by-'Firstpost'
