Chandrababu Naidu invited to Kurnool contest
Kurnool: Among the speculations that the TG family will continue to fight with TDP to get Kurnool Assembly seat in the next general elections, Mr T. R. Rayalaseema Chairman and Managing Director Bharat said that if AP Chief Minister N. If Chandrababu Naidu competes and wins the constituency, Kurnool city will be developed. He said that there has been no significant development in the city in the last four years.
Mr S.V. Mohan Reddy, a relative of AP tourism minister Bhuma Akhila Priya, was declared as the TDP candidate for Kurnool assembly seat by IT minister Nara Lokesh at a public meeting last month.
The announcement surprised the Rajya Sabha MP TG. Venkatesh, who has been taking care of the constituency for many years.
Mr Venkatesh had earlier said that the candidate for Kurnool assembly seat would be declared only after the schedule for the election was announced.
Mr Bharath, who also spent a substantial amount of time and money on several social service activities in the constituency, also appears to have decided not to take the rejection easily.
Bharath, speaking at a youth forum in the city on Sunday, said that TD has a tremendous vote in the district. But this could be leveraged only when Chief Minister himself contests from Kurnool. He assured that all the 14 Assembly constituencies in the district would be won by TDP if Naidu comes to Kurnool.
