The survey conducted with 4,999 persons across Tamil Nadu between April 18 and May 4 was telecast on the channel on Monday. The opinion poll, released just 7 days before Tamil Nadu goes to polls, said the AIADMK would score a landslide victory with 164 seats, the DMK 66 seats and others 4.

However, the survey said 51.68 per cent of the people interviewed said they would not give another chance to the AIADMK Government, while 42.67 per cent of them said they would give another chance to the dispensation led by J Jayalalithaa.

About 39.66 per cent favoured Jayalalithaa returning as Chief Minister, while DMK chief Karunanidhi was considered a better CM candidate by 31.89 per cent. Vijayakant was preferred by 8.59 per cent of the respondents.

The channel said the AIADMK fared much better than the DMK in all regions — South, North, Chennai, West and Central — as well in the age group as well.
The survey said people in the age group of 51-65 are the active supporters of the AIADMK with 44.55 per cent of them supporting the party, while the DMK fared better among 65 plus age with 39.77 per cent supporting the party. The survey said the PMK would score more than 15 per cent votes in its stronghold of northern region.
