IMPHAL, Jun 8: The State Election Commission today announced the schedule for by-elections to fill up the vacant seats of members in three Gram Panchayat Constituencies.
The Commission has issued a public notification in this regard today.
Accordingly, the by-elections would be held on July 19 from 8 am to 4 pm and the counting of the votes would be done on July 22.

The last date of filing nominations for the by-elections has been fixed on June 14 and that of withdrawal of candidature as June 18. Scrutiny would be carried out on June 15.
The three Gram Panchayat Constituencies where the by-elections would be conducted to fill up the vacant seats of members are 8/20/4-Khurai Sajor Thoidingjam Leikai Pt III Constituency of 8/20-Khurai Nandeibam Leikai GP of Imphal East-I CD Block, 15/19/5-Khoirom Leikai Constituency of 15/19-Kiyamgei GP of Imphal East-II CD Block, and 4/9/10-Phanjakhong Constituency of 4/9-Leirongthel Ningel GP of Thoubal CD Block.
