Pradesh Congress has started preparation of election for Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayat and is all set to declare the candidates’ list for the civic polls by the first week of November.
Keeping eye on the ensuing Municipal and Nagar panchayat election Congress is leaving no stone unturned to make their party win in the civic polls. The candidate list of the party for the ensuing election will be announced by the first week of November, sources confirmed.
The campaign for election of AMC, Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayat will begin from the November 5. Meanwhile a committee has been formed for preparation of state level election manifesto.
However, Congress spokesperson Ashok Sinha is appointed as the convenor for the launch of manifesto for AMC election.
It is to be mentioned here that in 2010, congress party with no organization have won Sabroom and Ambassa nagar panchayat, it was taken as surprise by ruling CPI-M party. This time the CPI-M state committee will also not take any chances as they want to win all urban bodies with thumping majorities.
Reportedly, raising voice against the negligence attitude of the AMC (Agartala Municipal Corporation) towards the rampant pollution of Howrah water, Tripura Pradesh Congress has called for a series of massive protest in the state for the month of November.
One each party observer would be appointed by PCC at every subdivision of the state. Besides rally, procession and dharna would be organized at Agartala on November 3 and at other subdivisions on November 6.
Alleging rampant corruption by AMC, Pradesh Congress would hold massive protest on November 3 in all the 49 wards of the state. Followed by the massive protest, a protest rally from the entire 49 AMC ward would gather in front of Rabindra Bhawan on November 5 to protest against the discrepancy of AMC.
As per the scheduled programme, the Tripura Pradesh Congress would also hold protest rally in November 6 in all the19 city of the state.
