- The turnout in Delhi was 64 per cent, up by 12 per cent as against 2009 elections.

More than half of Delhi's 12 million voters cast their ballots by late afternoon on Thursday, surpassing the 2009 polling percentage, to pick seven Lok Sabha members in a high voltage three-cornered contest. source: dnaindia

6.50 pm: Election Commission says around 64 per cent polling reported in Delhi. It may go up as voting continued beyond 6 PM in some areas across the city.

1:25 pm: Brisk polling is being reported in Delhi with 40% of the electorate casting their vote by 1 pm. Neighbouring Haryana had a slow start with only 31% voting recorded by 12.30 pm; high-profile Gurgaon did marginally better than the state average with 32% voting till 1 pm.
Today Delhi Parliamentary Elections 2014 are being held. Lot of awareness and enthusiasm is being seen among voters here with nearly 11 million voters going to vote this time in Delhi. Main Parties present here in Delhi are BJP, INC, AAP, SAD, CPI and NCP. Last time all the seats were won by INC, but this time due to ani congress layer, opinion polls are showing that INC may not win even a single seat, with BJP and AAP being in the main fight.
There are 150 candidates. There are 7,057,648 male and 5,657,785 female voters in Delhi besides 839 'others'. The city has 11,763 polling stations, of which 417 have been declared "sensitive" and 90 "hyper sensitive" -- official euphemism to mean they are trouble prone. Delhi will break all voting records, Chief Electoral Officer Vijay Dev said Thursday as polling for the seven Lok Sabha seats is on in the national capital.
