Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who released the TMC's manifesto for the upcoming assembly elections here on Friday, said it has been prepared keeping in mind the welfare of all people of the state.
Silencing her critics, Banerjee said the TMC believes in performing its task in an efficient manner.
"The work has been initiated for development and progress. Financial discipline has been achieved and set by our government," she said.
She said that her government promises to carry on the development projects that are underway and at the same time plans to execute more new projects.
“We have a host of other plans. Those plans would take Bengal to the top in terms agriculture and industry. The vision of ‘New Bengal’ would be realised through the establishment of industries and empowerment of youth. Keeping these two vital factors in mind we would march ahead in to a new era of Bengal,” she said.
Mamata said that her government will give utmost priority to creating improved rural and urban infrastructure. The growth of industry and agriculture will be given emphasis along with empowerment of the youth, she said.
Some of the highlights of the manifesto:
