Modi Kerala Rally: BJP has only development in mind, Kerala Polls, NDA, Palakkad, Narendra Modi, CPI (M), development,Modi Kerala visit
In his first election rally in Kerala, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said NDA should be voted to power to bring development to the state.
He urged the people to give NDA a chance to rule the state. “BJP has only one aim, which is development of the country. NDA should be voted to power for the future of Kerala. I am requesting you to experiment with NDA to eradicate poverty, unemployment and arrest price rise.”
In his 20 minute address, Modi highlighted what his government has done for Kerala in the last two years.
Recalling the days when the BJP government intervened to bring Kerala nurses from war-torn countries, Modi said, “The government has not slept during those days. They belonged to different religions. I can proudly say the Government in Delhi could bring them back.” He said the government didn’t sit idle during the terrorist attack in Yemen. Steps were taken to bring the Indians back home. The priest who was abducted by Taliban in Afghanistan was rescued after nine months, he said. Besides, two persons from Kerala, Richard Hey and Suresh Gopi, were nominated to the Rajya Sabha.
Modi said the Congress and CPI (M) have been taking turns to loot the state over the last 60 years. “These parties are cheating the state. They can’t save Kerala. The state would progress only under a third force,” he said.
Palakkad is the only municipal council in Kerala where BJP is in power.
