Popular film stars Jagdish and Siddiq have found place in the draft list of the Congress candidates which is being finalised for the upcoming assembly elections, Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) said on Wednesday.
Sources in the KPCC party told that the draft list was prepared at the grassroots and has already been submitted to the top leadership of the party. The final list is expected to be out on March 10.
Jagdish, a hugely popular comedian and character artiste who has been in the industry for the past three decades, has been drafted to take on his fellow actor and three-time legislator K.B. Ganesh Kumar from the Pathanapauram assembly constituency.
Comedian and actor Siddiq is tipped to be fielded from the Aroor constituency in Alappuzha district.
