Delhi University today announced the election schedule for Delhi University Students Union.
The last date to file nomination papers is 4th September 2018 while elections will take place on 12th September 2018.
ABVP and NSUI are the top contenders fighting DUSU elections this year.A close watch will be maintained on AISA’s performance as well which has been showing a better performance year by year in recent past.Aam Aadmi Party backed CYSS will also be contesting DUSU elections this year.
Last year the top 2 posts were won by NSUI while the remaining 2 posts went to ABVP.NSUI’s Rocky Tuseed won the DUSU Presidential post last year after a number of controversies.

Delhi University Students' Union polls to be held on September 12
NEW DELHI: Delhi University Students’ Union polls will be conducted on September 12,2018. The election schedule for the central panel of DUSU and college union eections were announced by the Delhi
Univercity administration on Saturday evening However,the dates(s) for counting and announcement of results has not yet been decided along with the declaration of the eection sedule,the code of conduct for the pools also gets underway.
According to the press statement issued by the university, the last date for filing of the nominations along with demand drags of? 500 and the affidavit is September 4, 2018. The scrutiny and announcement of the list of candidates will also take place on September 4, 2018.
Candidates can withdraw their candidate till 12 noon of September 5, 2018. The final list of candidates will be announced the same day at 5 pm but the DUSU election office.
On September 12, 2018, the elections on the morning colleges ,it will be conducted from 3 pm to 7:30pm.
Nomination papers for the DUSU central panel will be submitted with the office of the election officer, and for the College Union and central council with the concerned college/ department.
