About the Constituency:

Covering the entire Satna District, which lies in the Rewa Division, the Satna Parliamentary constituency is one of the 29 Lok Sabha seats which represent the state of Madhya Pradesh in the Lower House of Parliament. According to Election Commission of India 2009 data the total electorates in the Satna Parliamentary constituency (constituency number 9) were 1,207,500 of which 567,572 are females and 639,928 are males. The number of voters in this constituency, as per the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, is 1,207,724 people.

About Satna:

Bordering the state of Uttar Pradesh in the North, the Satna District has as its administrative capital, the city of Satna. 

The total population in the Satna District, however, is 2,228,619 people, as noted in the 2011 Census of India. This District receives government funds under the Backward Regions Grant Fund Programme, as it has been recognized as one of the 250 backward districts of the country, as per the Ministry of Panchyati Raj in 2006. This region holds immense religious, archaeological and historical significance, owing to the presence of numerous temples and sites mentioned in ancient mythologies of the land. Popular tourist sites in the region include Chitrakoot, Maihar, Bharhut and Griddraj Parvat, all of which contain one or more renowned religious temples. Pannilal Chowk is a famous shopping area in the district, with its lines of shops encircling the region. Satna houses a number of heavy industries, which add to the economic backbone of the region.

About the Constituency:

Sidhi parliamentary constituency in Madhya Pradesh is reserved for candidates belonging to the scheduled tribes. The Lok Sabha constituency of Sidhi not only covers portions of the Shahdol district, but the entire districts of Sidhi and Singrauli. The Sidhi Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 11) consists of 1,358,291 number of electorates in totality, of these 713,720 are males and 644,571 are females as the Election commission of India 2009 data suggests. The first elections held to the Sidhi constituency, when incorporated into the Madhya Pradesh state, was in 1962.

About Sidhi:

 It is located on the eastern parts of the state of Madhya Pradesh. Out of the 640 backward districts recognized by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj in 2006, the Sidhi and Shahdol districts are two districts which fall under the category, thus receiving grants from the Government of India. In the Singrauli district however, the formation of the artificial lake of Govind Ballabh Pant Sagar created by the Rihand Dam is the primary source of rich coal deposits, and thus is the backbone of the economy in the Singrauli district. The Singrauli coalfield is the backbone of the economy in the Sidhi constituency. 

The total population in the Sidhi Lok Sabha seat is 11,26,515 as per the 2011 Census.

About the Constituency:

Kushi Nagar is one of the 80 Lok Sabha constituencies of the state of Uttar Pradesh, formed post the 2008 implementation of delimitation of parliamentary constituencies. 1,438,263 is the total electorate count in the Kushi Nagar Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 65). Out of these 779,362 number of electorates are males and the remaining 658,901 are belong to the female category as the Election commission of India 2009 reports suggest.

About Kushi Nagar:

The administrative headquarters of Kushi Nagar district is situated in the city of Padrauna. It is located in the north-eastern part of the state on the banks of the river Bansi. This district covers an area of 2,873 sq. km. Hindi is the official language of Padrauna. The economy of this city is primarily dependent on agriculture. This city has a promising number of notable schools and colleges, both government and private. National Highway NH 28B and state highway SH 64 pass Padrauna.

Demographic Pattern:

According to the census data of 2011, Padrauna has a total population of 44,357 of which 52% are males and 48% are females. It has a sex ratio of 950 females per 1000 males and 12% of the population is below the age of six. The city of Padrauna has an average literacy rate of 74.94% with male literacy rate at 81.52% and female literacy rate at 67.76%. The majority of the population here is Hindus, though Muslims, Sikhs and Buddhists are also found in large numbers.

Kaiserganj Lok Sabha Constituency is one of the 80 parliamentary constituencies of the state of Uttar Pradesh. It is one of the two constituencies representing the Bahraich District. Bahraich District is located to the north of the state, bordering Nepal. Hindi is the official language here. Economically, it receives financial aid from the Backward Regions Grant Fund Programme being one of the 250 most backward districts of the country.

 Demographic Pattern:

The district of Bahraich has an area of 4,700 sq km and has a population of 3,479,000 with a 52% male majority and a 48% female population. The population density is 1,830 people per sq km and it is the 90th most populated district of India. From 2001 to 2011, the population growth rate of Bahraich District was over 46%. It has a sex ratio of 891 females per 1000 males and an average literacy rate of just over 51%.
