Uttar Pradesh RS polls: BJP, BSP expels its MLA’s, Uttar Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh rajya Sabha polls 2016, Gorakhpur (Rural) MLA Vijay Bahadur Yadav, Najibabad, Taslim Ahmed
The BJP Sunday suspended its Gorakhpur (Rural) MLA Vijay Bahadur Yadav for voting for SP candidate in the Rajya Sabha polls.
“Yadav has been suspended for not following the directions of the chief whip,” Leader of BJP in Assembly Suresh Khanna said.
After the voting ended Saturday, Yadav had said that he had voted for a party, “which can bring development to this state and my region”. “I voted for SP after witnessing the development works undertaken by CM Akhilesh Yadav,” he said.
Meanwhile, the BSP expelled its MLA from Najibabad, Taslim Ahmed, for “indulging in anti-party activities” and “indiscipline”.
