- Media reports suggest that the BJP has also won 56 wards in the 110-ward Kanpur Municipal Corporation, thereby winning an outright majority in Uttar Pradesh's commercial hub.
- Chief Minister Adityanath began his campaign with a rally in Ayodhya, which, along with twin city Faizabad, has just been upgraded to a municipal corporation.
- According to the State Election Commission, 24 districts had voted in the first phase of the polls on November 22, while 25 districts went to the polls in second phase. As many as 26 districts voted in the third phase on November 29.
- BSP is currently leading in Jhansi, Meerut and Agra municipal corporations. Congress, on the other side, maintains its lead in Mathura.
- Current trends in UP civic elections show that BJP is leading in Moradabad, Ayodhya - Faizabad, Varanasi, Firozabad, Saharanpur, Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Aligarh, Allahabad, Bareilly and Kanpur.

Counting of votes for 12 Municipal Corporations 186 Nagar Palika Parishads and 388 Nagar Panchayats from 71 districts are underway.
According to state election officials, the results of most municipal corporations would be out by 4 p.m., while the local bodies results would be out by late evening. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates in Meerut and Moradabad, Aligarh, Jhansi have taken leads over their nearest rivals.
The corporator candidates of the BJP are reported to be in leads in different towns. Of the results of 18 wards declared in Moradabad, nine have gone in favour of the BJP.
In the initial rounds, reports coming from some cities suggest that BJP candidates have established leads in Bareilly (Gulshan Anand), Jhansi (Kiran Verma), Moradabad (Bina Agarawal), Aligarh (Shakuntala Bharati) and Meerut (Hairikant Ahluwalia).

BJP's Dinesh Sharma and Kiran Sharma are ahead from their nearest rivals in Lucknow and Jhansi respectively while BSP's Karatar Singh is reported ahead from Agra. Ruling Samajwadi Party's candidate is ahead in Ghaziabad.
BJP's Harikanth is ahead from Meerut While Satya Pandey is leading in Gorakhpur. BJP Candidate Jagatveer Singh is ahead in Kanpur. BSP candidate Abhilasha leading in Allahabad while SP supporters YS Tomar ahead in Bareilly.
