DMK will get 30 seats, AIADMK 9 and PMK 2 seats in eastern and central districts of Tamil Nadu, according to the opinion poll conducted by Tamil daily Dinamalar and television channel News7 Tamil. The third installment of the opinion poll, released on Wednesday, has predicted results for 41 constituencies in Karur, Trichy, Perambalur, Ariyalur, Nagapattinam, Thiruvarur, Thanjavur and Pudukottai.

Sixty-two percent of citizens in these districts were unhappy with the performance of the government and their MLA, the poll revealed.

In Karur, the poll has predicted 1 seat for AIADMK and 3 for DMK. In Trichy, it is 3 seats for AIADMK and 6 for DMK. In Perambalur it is 1 seat each for DMK and PMK, and in Ariyalur too, these two parties are predicted to win a seat each. In Nagapattinam, the poll predicts 2 seats for AIADMK and 4 for DMK.

In Thiruvarur, where DMK chief M Karunanidhi is contesting from, the DMK is predicted to win in all four assembly constituencies. In Thanjavur, it is 2 for AIADMK and 6 for DMK while in Pudukottai the ruling party is predicted to win 1 seat and DMK 5 seats.
In Srirangam, from where TN chief minister and AIADMK general secretary Jayalalithaa won in 2011, the poll predicts a victory for DMK.
