Warangal Poll Campaign Ends Today,Warangal byepoll, Warangal Lok Sabha seat, Bye Election 2015 Updates, Warangal Bye Election 2015 live voting %, Warangal Poll
HYDERABAD: The campaigning for byelection to Warangal Lok Sabha seat, which saw vitriolic attack on each other by the opposition parties, will come to an end by 5 pm on Thursday.
The election will be held on November 21.
Chief electoral officer Bhanwar Lal said here on Wednesday that all politicians, who does not have a voting right in the Warangal Lok Sabha segment which is going for polls, should leave the limits soon after the campaigning comes to an end.
He said that they have so far seized Rs 1.79 crore cash, a Maruti car and 4,314 litres of liquor in Warangal LS segment. As many as 646 persons were arrested under liquor prohibition cases, 420 explosives seized and 183 licensed arms deposited, the CEO said.
The total number of electors in Warangal LS are 15,09,671 and the officials completed distribution of voter slips to 93.46 per cent electors. Bhanwar Lal said that a local holiday was declared on the polling day on November 21.
Meanwhile, a blanket ban would be imposed on sale of liquor for 48 hours in the entire district with effect from November 19 from 5 pm to 5 p.m. on November 21 and also on November 24, the counting day.
