SAD-BJPalliancewill win 95 of 117 seats, says Sukhbir Badal, Punjab opinion poll,Punjab assembly election 2017, SAD-BJPalliance, 2017 punjab Vidhan Sabha polls, khooni panja
Making light of AAP’s claim that it would win 100 out of 117 seats in Punjab, Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal Thursday said the SAD-BJP alliance would win at least 95 seats in the 2017 Vidhan Sabha polls.
Sukhbir, who was visiting Bathinda and Mansa districts Thursday to lay the foundation stones for projects worth over Rs 277 crore, made this assurance at both the places.
He called the Congress election symbol “khooni panja”, saying it had done nothing good for Punjab, and also referred to the AAP as “topiwalas”. Claiming that neither party had a place in Punjab, he said the SAD-BJP would make a comeback.
Sukhbir Govt's Promises
According to Sukhbir, the state government would operationalise 200 skill centres at the block level over the next one-and-a-half months to train the youth in different trades and help them earn their livelihood.
The Deputy Chief Minister said the state would also provide financial help to the youth to establish their own enterprises, and that 2,000 sewa kendras would be opened in rural areas on September 11, to provide government services to the people at their doorstep.
While the sewa kendra buildings have been ready for over two years, they are only being operationalised at the end of the government’s term.
Sukhbir also laid the foundation stone for Rs 70.85-crore Maur-Talwandi road overbridge and Bhai Bakhtaur link channel.
