MP:Polling in eight municipal councils today, Madhya Pradesh municipal councils polls, Annuppur district panchayat elections, MP district panchayat elections, hore, Shajapur, Mandsaur, Shahgunj, Majhauli, Dhamnod, Orchha , Bheraghat, municipal councils election 2015

BHOPAL: Civic polls will be held for eight municipal councils in the state on Wednesday. Besides, Annuppur district panchayat elections will also be held from 7 am to 5 pm.

The municipal councils going to the polls include Sehore, Shajapur, Mandsaur, Shahgunj, Majhauli, Dhamnod, Orchha and Bheraghat.

Counting of votes for the municipal council polls has been scheduled for December 26 while district panchayat poll results will be announced on December 27.


According to the election commission (EC) office, there are 35 wards in Sehore that will witness polling with a total 80,377 voters, including 41,225 men and 39,147 women. Mandsaur has 40 wards and elections will be conducted in 134 polling stations with a total of 1,07,853 voters. Mandsaur has 55,024 men and 52,824 women voters. Shajapur has 29 municipal wards and elections will be held at 65 polling stations with a total 46,230 voters.

 


Municipal councils Shahgunj in Sehore district, Majholi in Jabalpur, Dhamnod in Dhar, Orchha in Tikamgarh and Bheraghat in Jabalpur have 15 municipal wards each and polling will be held in 15 stations in each of these towns. The total number of voters in all urban municipal councils going to the polls on Wenesday is 2,67,020.



District panchayat elections in Annuppur will be held in 840 polling stations with a total 4,09,880 voters, including 2,09,338 males and 2,00,516 females. Counting of votes for the municipal council polls has been scheduled for December 26 while district panchayat poll results will be announced on December 27.
