Pune civic polls in Feb electoral rolls by Jan 21,PMC elections,Pune Municipal Corporation Elections news voter list ward list
WITH THE completion of the delimitation process for the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) elections, scheduled in February, the state Election Commission has now directed all the civic bodies, including the PMC, to prepare the electoral rolls based on the data being prepared by the Chief Electoral Office.
As per the direction of Election Commission of India, the electoral roll prepared by Chief Electoral Office with January 1, 2017 as the cut off date for eligibility of voters, would be considered for the civic polls.

The delimitation process will be completed by November end, it said. “The electoral roll for civic polls have to be prepared which is based on the electoral roll prepared by the Chief Electoral Office for Assembly elections. The civic body has to undertake a programme for preparing the electoral roll for civic elections.”
The Election Commission undertakes a drive every year to revise the electoral roll and includes every resident completing the age of 18 by the end of the same year. “The civic bodies should procure the old electoral rolls as well as the supplementary electoral rolls being prepared by the Election Commission. This should be sorted out as per its jurisdiction and ensure all the voters are included in the list,” it said.
