BJP allies in Maharashtra demand more seats for assembly election
For the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections, the opposition parties may face seat-sharing problems. Three smaller parties, who are the part of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Shiv Sena-led grand alliance, have demanded in total 83 assembly seats out of 288. The leaders of the saffron alliance are unlikely to agree to such demands.
The meeting including Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghtana (SSS) –led by MP Raju Shetty, Rashtriya Samaj Partyu (RSP) and Shivsangram Party took place on Wednesday night to discuss the seat sharing formula.
