Jharkhand Assembly election phase III LIVE: Voting in the phase 3 of Jharkhand Assembly election 2019 would be held on Thursday (December 12). The constituencies in Jharkhand that are going to polls in the phase 3 of Jharkhand Assembly election 2019 are Kodarma, Barkatha, Barhi, Barkagaon, Ramgarh, Mandu, Hazaribag, Simaria (SC), Dhanwar, Gomia, Bermo, Ichagarh, Silli, Khijri (ST), Ranchi, Hatia and Kanke (SC). Ranchi: In the third phase of Jharkhand Assembly Elections, voting on 17 seats on Thursday was peaceful. Voting was held from 7 am to 3 pm in 12 seats, while in Ranchi, Hatia, Kanke, Ramgarh and Barkatha, voting was held till 5 pm. There were no reports of any skirmish in this phase. However, urban voters turned out to vote less than rural voters. The capital Ranchi witnessed a lower turnout than expected. A total of 61.93 percent voting was recorded in all 17 seats till 5 pm. In this phase, 56 lakh voters decided the fate of 309 candidates. These include former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi, AJSU supremo Sudesh Mahto, Minister Chandeshwar Prasad Singh and Minister Neera Yadav.

Ranchi In the third phase of the Jharkhand assembly elections, polling for 12 seats was completed at 3 pm. Voting will continue till 5 pm in the remaining five seats. A total of 57.69 percent voting was recorded in all 17 seats till 3 pm. There is more voting in rural areas than in urban areas. There was a very low turnout in the capital Ranchi. In this phase, the fate of many veterans, including former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi, Ajsu Supremo Sudesh Mahto, Minister Chandeshwar Prasad Singh, Minister Neera Yadav, were sealed in the EVMs.
