Any fool can become the CM, what difference does it make?: Yashwant Sinha

Senior BJP leader and former Union finance minister Yashwant Sinha on Tuesday left everyone shocked when he used a cuss word, in reply to constant questioning by reporters about who would be Jharkhand's next chief minister during a meeting with business leaders here, saying any ch...a (expletive) could become the CM.

• "The media has been asking me who would be the next CM of Jharkhand. Arre koi bhi ch...a mukhya mantri ban jaye, kya farak parta hai? (Any fool can become the CM, what difference does it make?) The main issue is development," Sinha told members of the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries while speaking on the coming Budget.

Sinha's remark raised the roof with regional business leaders breaking into surprised laughter. Incidentally, Sinha's name has been doing rounds for the post of governorship, but there have been enough indications from his supporters that Sinha himself would not mind chief ministership of Jharkhand. Sinha had earlier said talking about development in Jharkhand is a sin. "Nobody is inclined towards development of the state but only engaged in politics. And the media too asks questions on politics only," he lamented.
