Indore: Election Commission officials to review poll preparation today
Indore: Election Commission of India deputy commissioner Chandra Bhushan Kumar and director Vikram Batra will visit city on Wednesday. Both the officers will hold a review meeting with officers of Indore and Ujjain division at divisional commissioner’s office.
As per schedule, they will reach Shri Govindram Sekseria Institute of Technology and Science at 11 pm. After reaching there, they will explain the process of VVPAT machines to students. Thereafter, they will reach commissioner’s office at 12.30 pm and meet the election officers of Indore-Ujjain division.
They will meet senior police officials of Indore-Ujjain division between 4 pm and 5 pm to discuss law and order situation. Chandra Bhushan Kumar will leave for Bhopal at 6.30 pm. In all, 97800 ballot units, 81500 control units and 84760 Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines have been received from Bangaluru for assembly elections to be held in November-December this year.
