National Family Benefit Scheme

As a sensitive social security measure targeting the poorest section of the society, National Family Benefit Scheme is being implemented in the State with 100 percent Government of India assistance since 15th August 1995 of the Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India. The main objective of the scheme is to rehabilitate a downtrodden BPL family on the event of death of its primary bread winner.

National Awards to outstanding employers of persons with disabilities

There would be four National Awards under the category of placement officer/agency of person with disabilities. One award for best placement officer/agency of person with disabilities

and three awards would be given as consolation awards. One award is reserved for women. In case no eligible applicants are found, the award may be given to a male.

Scheme for Providing Immediate Relief to Families of Government Servants Who Die while in Service

This is Scheme for Providing Immediate Relief to the Families of Government Servants Who Die while in Service. The relief may be allowed in the form of advance limited to three months pay (including personal pay and special pay) of the deceased Government servant or Rs. 1000/- whichever is less, provided that the amount so sanctioned does not exceed the estimated payments due to the family.

National Family Benefit Scheme (NFBS) in Manipur

National Family Benefit Scheme (NFBS) is a component of National Social. Assistance Programme (NSAP). Under National Family Benefit Scheme, Central Assistance is given in the form of lump sum family benefit for households below the poverty line on the death of the primary breadwinner in the bereaved family. The amount of benefit is Rs.10000/- in case of death of primary breadwinner due to natural or accidental causes. The family benefit is paid to such surviving member of the household of the deceased who, after local inquiry is determined to be the head of the household.

Aam Aadmi Bima Yojana

The scheme will be launched on Gandhi Jayanti. It provides for insurance to the head of the family or an earning member of the family of a rural landless household, who is aged between 18 and 59 years, against natural as well as accidental death and against partial or permanent disability.
