After Swami Prasad Maurya, RK Chaudhary Senior BSP Dalit leader resigns, BSP Election News, Leaders blame Mayawati cash for ticket

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader RK Chaudhary on Thursday resigned form the party. The former Uttar Pradesh minister had rejoined the party after he parted ways with for nearly 12 years.

He had then expressed gratitude towards BSF chief Mayawati for his re-entry into the party. He was welcomed with showering praises into the party.

Last week, leader of opposition in Uttar Pradesh Assembly Swami Prasad Maurya had quit from the party. Maurya had accused BSP chief Mayawati of selling tickets to candidates. Maurya had played an important role in garnering votes among various sects of people. He was the party’s known figure among backward classes. Maurya was associated with BSP for 20 years.

Uttar Pradesh will go to Assembly elections in March 2017. The state has an Assembly comprising 403 seats and a party/alliance has to win 202 seats to form the government. The elections is said to be a close contest between between BSP and BJP.
