About the Constituency:

Situated in the historically prominent district of Kurnool in the west-central parts of the state of Andhra Pradesh is the parliamentary constituency of Kurnool. This Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 42 parliamentary seats in AP. According to Election Commission of India 2009 data the total electorates in the Kurnool Parliamentary constituency (constituency number 36) were 1,307,312 of which 663,127 are females and 644,185 are males.
