The Nationalist People’s party (NPP) in Meghalaya on Wednesday released its third list of candidates for the Meghalaya Assembly Elections 2013.

The third list, with the previous two lists being released whilst as part of NCP, features three names.
Former Minister and NPP Spokesperson Dr SL Marbaniang has been awarded party ticket from Nongkrem constituency while former Baghmara MDC Milan M Sangma will be contesting from Chokpot constituency.
Mentionably, (Late) Masonsing M Sangma was supposed to contest from Chokpot. But after his demise, the party ticket has been awarded to Milan.
NPP has allotted party ticket to former Forest and Environment ranger Balen A Sangma for the Gambegre constituency.

Earlier NPP, then NCP, in March had announced 19 names for the upcoming elections.

The names include

(14)sitting MDC from Salmanpara constituency Boston Marak,

(15)Rangsakona sitting MDC Dipul Marak,

(16)former MLA from Mawsynram DP Iangjuh,

(17)Sosthemes Sohtun from Jeram,

(18)Ringnon Marak from Raksamgre, 

(19)(L) Masonsing Sangma.

In total NPP has announced 22 names for the Assembly, but with the demise of (L) Masonsing Sangma, the list of announced candidates’ stands at 21.
