Shillong, Jan 11: The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) announced the second list of candidates to contest in the in the upcoming general elections slated for February 23.

Party president, Sanbor Shullai  informed that altogether nine candidates have been nominated in the second list.

From 60 Baghmara Ex MDC, GHADC, Panseng R Marak will be contesting,

from 45 Tikrikilla Ex MDC, GHADC, Mrinal Marak,

from 47 Rajabala Islam H Choudhury,

from 42 Rongjeng Sunolsing Sangma,

from 9 Nongpoh Charles GR Syngkli,

from 25 Mawsynram Tobias R Marak,

from 12 Umroi R Mording Dorphang,

from 54 Mahendraganj Mafiara T Sangma 

from 56 Gambigre Sanjiv R Marak.

It can be mentioned that in the first list seven candidates names were listed out which includes.

from 19 South Shillong-Sitting MLA and MDC, Sanbor Shullai will be contesting,

from 59 Chokpot area-Mrs Bluebell R Sangma wife of (late) Masonsing M Sangma (MLA).

From 36 Mawkyrwat – Mr. Donbor Mawlein,

from 38 Mendipathar – Mr. Marthon J Sangma the former Block Development Officer, From 50 North Tura Mr. Andreas T Sangma a student leader and former Ex-President of GSU,

from 44 Raksamgre – Mr. Janathan Rabha astudent leader and youth activist and

from 49 Dadanggre Mr. Rohidas Marak who has been in active politics since 1983.

Meanwhile, Shullai also informed that the final list will be released within two weeks time.
