Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Saturday said Congress' 50% tickets would be given to youth in the ensuing assembly polls. "For the ensuing assembly elections this year, the state unit of the party would recommend that 50 per cent of the tickets be given to the youths," Hooda, while addressing party workers in Ambala Cantonment near here said.

Interacting with the mediapersons after addressing party workers at Palwal, Hooda said two lakh workers, who would be recruited by the party, would be made partner in the functioning of the government if voted to power for the third consecutive term. There are total 90 assembly seats in the state.

The chief minister said one should not be swayed away by the results of the recent Lok Sabha elections as the issues of these elections differed from those of assembly elections. He said the Lok Sabha elections were fought by projecting one man and making such promises which made the people dream of better future, but their hopes were shattered as the price of diesel was increased by 50 paise every month.

Hooda said his government had undertaken unprecedented development. The comparative statistics of development undertaken before 2004 and after that would be sent to each district to enable people to assess them the development undertaken by his government in the state.
