Gujarat Congress today released its manifesto for Gujarat assembly elections 2012. The manifesto was released at Gujarat Congress headquarter in presence of Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit and Gujarat Congress President Arjun Modhwadia. Major highlights of manifesto are listed below: -In totality implementation of 6th pay commission. -Industries in backward region. 85% local employment compulsory. -Investment to be attracted for sea coast tourism. -Secondary grant-in-aid school in five km area. -VIdya Sahayak system to be ended and full pay teachers to be appointed. -Self finance colleges lower class students fees to be paid from Vidyanidhi. -Upto Rs 2 lakh insurance cover, 250 medicines to be free and medical corporation to be set up. -Right to forest land law to be implemented in six months. -Sachchar committee recommendations to be implemented in Gujarat. -SC,ST,OBC scholarship to be doubled. -Diamond development board to be set up. -Mumbai pattern implementation of zero slum policy in five years. -50 unit free power in residential connections. -Narmada project to be completed. -Small dams and irrigation schemes to be introduced. -Bio diesel bank to utilize waste land for the production of bio diesel. -Cotton export centre at Manavadar, Mango export center at Talala -Tax on agri equipments, tools, tractors to be reviewed and tax relief will be given. -Interest free loan to students for higher education -Tablet PC to students who pass the 10th and laptop to students who pass 12th. -Grant-in-aid secondary schools in the areas where the secondary or higher secondary schools are not available within 5 km. -Crop insurance cover to all farmers -Agri tech mission under the Chairmanship of CM to increase agri production. -2 lakh new agri connections every year. -Copies of 7/12 and 8A to farmers for free of cost through gram panchayats. -Funds to farmers at interest rate of 2% for agri activities. -More than 10 commissioners to deal with RTI appeals and cases to be settled within 100 days. -Public Accountability Act to be enacted and implemented. -62000 posts vacant in state, huge backlog of other vacancies too. All vacancies to be filled within one year. -Ship breaking industry to be revived. -20,000 more classrooms to be added every year. -Vacancies of teachers to be filled in all primary schools. -Free textbooks to girls from 2st standard. -Zonal wise sports academies. -Job opportunities to sportsperson with state level good performances. -Residential schools for SC, ST. -Ferry service to connect Maharashra through sea. -Large dams to be developed as tourist place. -SEZ to be made operational for 100% export oriented units. New nodal agency to provide marketing help. -No user charges at govt hospitals. -Special scholarship to economically poor students qualifying for national level institutes like IIM, IIT and NID. -Cooperative credit societies will be given exemption from stamp duty in credit upto Rs five lakhs. -Legal provisions to be made for representation of women in the cooperative bodies. -Freedom and self sufficiency to cooperative sector, no political interference. -Fully equipped mobile clinics for faraway places with high tribal population. -Manual scavenging to be stopped completely. -Street lights free to villages with population less than 500. 50% concession to villages having population having population more than 501. source: deshgujarat.com |
